Crew members are essential to every stage of production, but the high-stakes pressures of long hours, demanding schedules, and sensitive content can take a toll. Mental Health Coordinators (MHCs) are specifically trained to support crew well-being, offering practical tools and guidance that help crews manage stress, navigate challenges on set, and work more effectively together. Integrating MHCs from development through premiere helps ensure crews are equipped to do their best work while contributing to safer, more supportive workplaces.

Amanda Edwards, President of the Association of Mental Health Coordinators, will share best practices for addressing mental health considerations on set — both when portraying challenging subject matter and when collaborating with an MHC. She will highlight how mental health support can be built into production workflows, helping crews avoid common challenges, reduce stress, and strengthen collaboration. Edwards has advised on industry-wide mental health standards and brings extensive experience supporting productions of all sizes.

After the session, participants will be able to work more effectively with Mental Health Coordinators and better understand their role in ensuring safe, efficient, and supportive productions."
